Your Spirit & Your Body

Week 5 -

Your Expression in the World

This week’s blessing:

Extra blessings from previous classes:

HOMEWORK

1) “And when you go into a household, greet it. If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.” -Matthew 10:12-13

Think about what part of your journey has given you a special flavor of peace that you can release. As you go into stores or work or other areas, as you walk around your neighborhood, as you deal with family or friends, think about what flavor of peace you can release

Here’s an article by Arthur Burk from 2014, which ends with a powerful prayer for God to shine His light in areas that we haven’t seen yet:

2) Remember that  “Spiritual Focus”(intentionally directing your imagination to a specific thing or understanding) in a very real sense, locates you, as far as your body and your emotions are concerned. Your imagination is the tool, like a compass for your brain to follow by producing the appropriate emotions.

As a discipline, practice bringing your awareness back to something specific - a place, a time, a person, a spiritual reality. Ask your spirit to give you a nudge when you’re experiencing one of those long flows of negative thoughts that you’re often not even aware of. Your brain and your body will to the shift of direction!

YOUR BODY WILL FOLLOW YOUR SPIRITUAL FOCUS AND BELIEVE YOU ABOUT IT.

3) Blessing ahead - Regularly pray / bless ahead for things in your future.

Possible natural helps for lung emotions – grief, loss:

Essential oils (I use Revive and doTerra):

Patchouli – 3 drops in water, drink

Myrrh – 3 drops in water, drink

(Myrrh is resin – whatever glass you use will build up a residue. Also, when you get a bottle of myrrh, add some carrier oil immediately & shake it up, or it will harden over time. I use grapeseed oil, olive oil, liquid coconut oil.)
