Throughout the day, every hour or so, take a 2 or 3 minute break from whatever you’re doing (if you’re in a situation where you can), and just let your brain “gel.” Look off into space, or wherever makes sense. Close your eyes if you’re by yourself (where people won’t get worried about you!) Don’t try to think of anything intentional, don’t worry about engaging your spirit, just let your brain flip meaninglessly through whatever it wants to, for a few minutes, before resuming work.
Along the same lines, whenever you’re watching a movie, playing a game, reading a book, etc., try taking a minute to stop & look out at the world, and see if you can feel your brain doing its “pushback” that re-centers you in reality. Become aware of it as a design process.
